Father's Day Banana 2020

 Sooooo..... There's a bit of a story behind this one. I was in art class in college years ago. One of the projects I had to do was a still life of some apples. After the project was done my dad joked that I should draw a banana to have a fruit set or something along those lines. Since then he's joked about "When am I getting the banana drawing?". So I finally sat down and painted him a banana then got it printed on a poster and framed it. I gifted it to him for Father's Day in 2020.

All done in Clip Studio Paint. I love how the peel came out but I feel I could have worked better on the actual banana pieces. It was fun playing around with the colors though. Originally I gave it a grey background but the blue just made it pop a lot better. The inspiration behind the style or coloring of the banana was a piece I found on Pinterest by Noel Badges Pugh.
