Scaredypuff (2012)

A little scared Hufflepuff I drew in 2012 for Pottermore.

A little Pottermore scaredypuff from 2012. My house results were Hufflepuff.

I like many others hopped on to Pottermore when it first came out. It was an interactive website geared towards Harry Potter fans to learn more about the world of Harry Potter as well as take the sorting hat quiz to see which house they would fall in to.

At first Harry Potter wasn't a series I got in to as a kid but as I grew up I found that it was more fascinating than I thought. I finally saw the movies when I was a pre-teen/teen and read the books when I was an adult. When Pottermore was released, it gave a great insight to the writing process. As an adult I now understand various flaws in the story like any other but I can still appreciate the world even if I don't align with the views of the author. It makes me feel uneasy the author of such a beloved series is the way she is but it happens at times unfortunately.

A feature on Pottermore was the option to upload drawings themed around Harry Potter. So you will see various Pottermore/ Harry Potter related drawings pop up in the future.

Other features included on the site were illustrations from different iconic scenes across the series and little tidbits from JK about her writing process regarding some of those scenes. Of course some of this info may have changed since it was put on Pottermore thanks to JK herself or info that's since come out thanks to the Fantastic Beasts movies but it's what we got at the time.
